Les fendeurs de brume 

Moins quatre-vingt dix avant notre ère. Un village gaulois est frappé par un mal mystérieux après l’incursion d’un groupe d’étrangers. La terre devient poison, les bêtes meurent une à une et les habitants tombent malades. Après avoir découvert le lieu d’origine des envahisseurs, dix guerriers sont envoyés vers le grand nord de l’Europe afin de remonter la piste et de briser la malédiction.

Erwan Chaffiot a commencé sa carrière il y a 24 ans en tant que journaliste cinéma dans des revues comme Starfix. En 2000, il se lance à la télévision en lançant l’émission Ciné Choc, dont il aura la charge. Il y rencontrera de nombreuses personnalités comme Harrison Ford ou Scarlet Johansson, et l’émission diffusera 1000 épisodes. 

Durant cette période, il a continué son travail de journaliste, notamment en prenant en charge le magazine de référence sur le cinéma fantastique Mad Movies. 

Intéressé par l’évènementiel, il se lance dans l’aventure du festival Mauvais Genre à Tours, dont il devient le directeur artistique adjoint. En 2009, il devient sélectionneur des courts-métrages français.   

La même année, il débute une nouvelle expérience avec l’écriture de fictions. Sous le nom DREC, il crée deux histoires : Zoé, un thriller quantique ainsi que Humaniterre, une épopée sur une brigade d’intervention d’urgence partie sur un tremblement de terre dans un pays sous dictature. Ces deux projets lui ont permis d’être embauché par la société de production TelFrance pour laquelle il écrit le pilote d’une série pour France 3. Il enchaîne avec l’écriture du long métrage The Device, un film d’anticipation. Le projet attire l’attention du réalisateur Abel Ferry (le film Vertige et le téléfilm Le Saut du Diable qui a récemment  regroupé 6 millions de téléspectateurs sur TF1). En 2018, le producteur Alexis Perrin (Rumblefish production et Logical Pictures) décide de faire rentrer The Device en pré-production. 

En 2020, Erwan Chaffiot présente son projet Les Fendeurs de Brumes, une aventure sur les origines celtes de la France. Le producteur/réalisateur Dayan Oualid, séduit par le potentiel du concept, souhaite en faire une série ambitieuse.
